Are you a

non believer?

11. what do we have to do to be saved?

Note: It is recommended that you read topic 4, 5 and 6 before reading this topic.

The most important question that we could ever ask ourselves, is what do we need to do in order to gain salvation, and to be able to joyfully be in the presence of God after our lives on this earth.

Our human mind, based on logic and our personal experiences, tells us that we have to do a series of works or rituals that will be rewarded by God granting us salvation. However, that is not the reality. The Bible indicates that salvation is not achieved by the number of good works we do, nor do we lose it by the number of evil deeds we do. The Bible states that salvation is not something you earn; it is not something we can deserve or buy. We also cannot inherit salvation or sell it to others.

Salvation is FREE; it is available to every person of every tribe and every nation. The price of salvation has already been paid and the debt was settled with God through His Son, Jesus Christ, when he died on the cross and rose again the third day.

Anyone who has said that you have to do works, perform any series of rituals, or that you have to pay an organization (Church) to to earn salvation, is completely wrong.

Salvation comes when we give our lives to Jesus Christ, when we repent of our sins, when we ask for forgiveness, and when we put our faith in Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:8-9

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Once we give our lives to God, the Holy Spirit comes into our lives and changes our character, and we become a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Then, the Holy Spirit (Third Person of the Trinity) will help us have a life of holiness conforming to God's way, and help us follow His perfect will. Would you like to say a prayer and invite the Holy Spirit into your life? Go somewhere quiet, ask God to open your heart and say the following:

Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I renounce my sins. I repent and i’m asking You to forgive me. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and I thank You wholeheartedly.

Now, I invite You to come into my life and into my heart. By faith, I receive You as my personal Savior and I make You my Lord and my master; I put my life in Your hands.

Thank You, for You not only died to give me eternal life, but rose again to live Your life in me and through me.

I am ready to acknowledge You as my Lord before men, to have constant dependence of the glorious Holy Spirit and to live in obedience to Your direction.

Thank You, for according to your Word, You have come to me and have made me a child of God.

Thank You, because You have cleansed me, forgiven my sins, and given me everlasting life. In Jesus's name, Amen

Congratulations, you now form part of the family of God!
